Who is iPulse Systems?
Like so many great technology businesses before us, iPulse was founded by a few engineers working out of a garage, building first generation biometric readers. The early success of its products was evident in high security installations such as prisons and data centers. iPulse has since evolved into a group of dynamic owner managed technology businesses, namely iPulse Systems, iPulse Labs and iPulse Distribution. Our blue-chip clients include customers such as the Pepkor Group, NTT Data and Goskor. iPulse has offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa.
Understanding iPulse Systems
iPulse Systems is the longest running division of the group, offering end-to-end solutions in the access control, visitor management, time & attendance and workforce management spaces, using cloud-based platform IQSuite.cloud. iPulse Systems provides the ability to validate an identity against Home Affairs (a free service), then validate the person moving forward using fingerprints, face or voice biometrics. The iPulse Systems core competence lies in delivering highly flexible, powerful and distributed access control for companies who have multiple sites in multiple locations – allowing centrally controlled access control and workforce management for employees, contractors and visitors. Our range of products provide highly tailored solutions for the retail, high-density housing, data centre and warehouse verticals.

Understanding iPulse Labs
iPulse Labs provides services rather than solutions, focusing on the BIOMatch.cloud platform, which delivers a cloud-based biometrics-as-a-service platform, with integrated access to third-party vendors such as Home Affairs and AFRIGIS for additional services. With full fingerprint, face and voice biometrics on offer, including an optional liveness detection service, the BIOMatch.cloud platform is unique in that it offers unlimited biometric transactions and services at a flat fee, whilst offering third-party services at highly competitive rates, with no minimum commitments.
Understanding iPulse Distribution
iPulse Distribution is the authorised distributor for the Secugen™ range of products in the sub-Saharan region, including the fantastically popular and cost-effective Hamster Pro20, marketed and sold in South Africa as the iPulse iPB1 USB biometric device. With over 30,000 devices sold and clients such as Pepkor Group and Letshego Bank, iPulse Distribution provides local stock priced in ZAR, and manages warranties and services locally here in SA.

Thinking World Class Access Control For Everyone
Over 15 years our products have developed a reputation for being packed with features, extremely durable and affordably priced against existing legacy card systems. Our intuitive interface is easy-to-use, and ensures that anyone can be an "expert". The system is scalable and can be used as easily in a single door application as it can in a multi-door multi-site environment. The architecture makes it easy to support and is low risk to resellers and/or users with many sites given the powerful remote support functionality.
The iPulse core competence lies in delivering highly flexible, powerful and distributed access control for companies who have multiple sites in multiple locations – providing access control and workforce management for employees. Our specialist solutions include distributed retail outlets, data centers, time & attendance and visitor management across a broad array of clients.

iPulse has thousands of biometrics devices, managing hundreds of thousands of people, deployed across three continents in some of the harshest conditions, including mining, ports, schools and offices.
iPulse Systems has operations in Johannesburg, South Africa and Irvine, California.
